Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Philosophies among Hungarian Business Students

This study attempts to identify a relationship between the perception of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and business philosophies (Machiavellianism, moral objectivism, legalism, ethical relativism, Darwinism) among Hungarian students. The goals investigations are (1) explore CSR, (2) analyze which describe students, (3) characterize typical patterns by means cluster analysis. data collection was performed self-administered, voluntary online survey including Attitudes Toward Business Ethics Questionnaire (ATBEQ) instrument. Grouping effects were tested with non-parametric analysis variance; used K-Means method. research sample consisted 865 responses. Machiavellianism found be most dominant philosophy respondents. shows three patterns, namely CSR believers, large business-oriented, skeptic. correlations scores confirm assumed. understanding value system students allows targeted curriculum development for higher education institutions and, as result, more effective approach applications. Moreover, result on itself provides contribution cross-national in field. Future should include extension other practitioners.
